Summer Term – The Final Term!

This term, Class 6 will be studying life beside the seaside. Pupils will discover how Victorians approached their holidays and how the development of railways affected their holiday choices. They will use this information to research how holidays have changed since that era. Pupils will be designing a carousel to entertain visitors, using the Blackpool pleasure beach as the inspiration.  In art, pupils will become budding artists by comparing seaside drawings from famous artists and creating their own designs.

Next half term our theme is Heroes and Villains. We will be investigating food heroes in design and technology and famous scientists during our science lessons.

In addition to this we have lots of other exciting things planned.

We then took part in a magical mystery tour of the town which included Halls Croft, Nash’s Place and Shakespeare’s School.

In science, we learned about the human body, in particular, exercise, health and the circulatory system.  We made blood smoothies and used sweets to learn about absorption and osmosis.
