On Thursday 20th October, pupils from Years 5 and 6 volunteered to take part in The Fearns ‘Race4life’ at Marl Pits. This event was
a non-competitive one mile run and pupils dressed up in fancy dress, or pink,or blue, clothing. The children were asked to make a minimum donation of £1, although more has been raised and donated and all proceeds will go to Cancer Research. As well as promoting exercise and a healthy lifestyle, we were able to donate much needed funds to a worthy cause. Although the run was described as non-competitive, prizes were awarded to Luisa Blake for first placed girl and to Oliver Godden for first placed boy. Mrs Tyrer also won first placed teacher! Well done to all of our runners!
