After winning the local winner trophy for best entry from Rossendale for The Great Lancashire Debate, a team of Y5 speakers were included in the final six (out of fourteen districts) to take part in the Grand Final at County Hall Preston on 7th November. The team, Archie, Penny, Deniz and Cohen spoke with confidence and passion on abolishing racism across schools in Lancashire and were awarded runner up place, with Penny awarded an individual prize for best speaker. This is a fantastic achievement, which was well deserved, and we are so proud of the debate team.
