Last week, a team of nine boys and nine girls from Years 3 and 4 represented Edenfield in the Rossendale School Games Athletics Final. To earn their place in the final, the team had previously delivered an outstanding performance in the qualifying round, securing first place with strong results in both field and track events.
In the final, Edenfield faced tough competition from the other schools in their group. The team showcased their skill and determination, ultimately achieving an impressive runner-up position, missing out on the top spot by just five points. Every team member performed brilliantly, and the organisers gave a special mention to Edenfield, noting that the team had been leading the competition after the track events. This recognition highlighted their talent and perseverance and teamwork on the day. Congratulations to all of our athletes in Years 3 and 4!
